Chores Chores and more Chores
*yawns* I’ve been doing a lot of household chores + babysitting recently. Being a very filial daughter. I’m paid for doing it. Well money is always the motivation yea? *grins* But in a very small amount though. Mom always has body ache. The reason why?

Although I have two brothers they are too lazy till they’re classified as “bone-less”. The elder one is always lying on the sofa especially during weekends. Watching TV he’s also lying on sofa. He just can’t sit straight upright. Sometimes if the TV controller is just few feet right in front of him, he still wouldn’t budge but asked my younger brother or whoever to help him take. Lazy sial! As for the young one, in my previous post I’ve stated that he’s the baby of the family. So my mom is always “spoon-feeding” him. He also likes to lay his leg on the sofa or whatever his leg could reach. His leg can’t stay down. Even during eating, he will sit upright but he will never fail to put his leg on the sofa. I’m the only daughter so I’m responsible to do it. Girls must learn how to do household chores.

Anyway Chinese New Year is coming soon so must clean up the house. I’ve been wiping the windows, did some weeding and planting at the yard and I’ve even hand make two lantern to be hang in the house.

Ohh, let me introduce the other baby girl I’ve been helping my mom baby-sit.

Chubby right? She’s even heavier than Adeline although Adeline is forever asking for food. But you know what Clairice’s mom said? She said not enough. Keep feeding her. *sweat* Even she’s a baby doesn’t mean you must feed her till frigging fat so that she’ll look cute. Crazy. And her grandmother is also another ‘sampat’ woman. Both also yak non-stop when they’re at my house. I shall continue this story next time when I’m in the mood of writing it because it’s going to be a heavy rain coming. I shall end and shut down my computer now. Bye!

Second Home
Few days back I went out with my girlfriend. Actually we were supposed to go to this new place located somewhere around K.J but ended up at our so called second home which is 1U. Boring. The least we get to hang out and chill then I’m alright. *smiles*

Thomas came along too. Or I’m the ONE that came along? Nevermind. He’s a gentleman. Hopefully he doesn’t mind this big lamp-post stuck between =P Haha… We planned to watch a movie but it’s either the movie he watched already or she watched already. *sweat* They both got class but still got so much of time to watch movie. Very good time management huh? As for me, somehow frigging free also didn’t get to watch as much movie as them. The reason? No date lor. No one wants to bring me out except my girlfriend you see. Pfftt… Anyways I didn’t join them for the movie because I’m not in the mood to watch movie. It’s just not my thing anymore. I’ve grow out of it.

We walk around to find a place for our tea break. We found this place called Koko Bistro. Nothing but cocoa. A place dedicated to chocolate lover. *drools* They have their tea break first while I went to buy myself a magazine because they’re leaving for the movie later.

Ma love

Posers

They left for their movie after their break. So it’s time to indulge myself with chocolate. Yummmy… I’ve ordered one of their signatures chocolate cake with Cocoa Ice Blended drink.

When I drank that ice blended, I tasted coffee in it. I thought it was rich chocolaty taste so I’ve ordered it. Dang! I’m caffeine intolerant but heck it. I’m too lazy to neither care nor change it. Actually I do enjoy some private time alone having a lil’ drink and desert with a magazine. It was relaxing.

So coincidence my new made friend, Joey was there. He called and met up with me because Shan saw him and told him I was alone. He accompanied and we talked for a while because he needs to leave for movie later with his friends. Another nice friend =)

After the movie I met up with Shan and Thomas for dinner. Called my dad before that.

“Pa, can you fetch me later around 9?”

“Huh?! Who do you think I am? Your driver ah?! I’ll see how first.”

=.=”

Me and Shan planned to take a cab home. But in the end he came and pick us up. Yup, that’s my dad.

PWTC Trip
19th January 2008

Almost every weekend I’ve been out. Lucky I didn’t get any naggings yet. *grins* I went down to PWTC for this Youth Fair with Shan because she wanted to go. This exhibition provides information and activities related to youth. There are a lots of booth set ups. Young entrepreneurs and designers got the chance to set up stalls there too. I knew Justin was working there, so I went to find him. Too bad he’s “busy” watching some dance competition held there. I just leave him and went to explore the exhibition.

I accompanied Shan there while she met up with her friends. She introduced to me Thomas and Shaz (sorry I don’t know how to spell his name). Then Shaz introduced us to his group of friends but I can’t really remember their names. The truth is Shan’s friends are totally outspoken including her. Their connection of friends is darn wide. For them, their world is small. Wherever they go, they’ll meet someone they know. Seriously lor. Thomas is younger than us but he knew most of the dancers there. Plus, he knows how to dance too. Chunted kiddo. As for Shaz, he’s a radio DJ for X-fresh.Fm. He can speak very professionally. It’s really cool when you hear him speak. *grins* He knows those famous bloggers and celebrities too. He even invited us to join them for dinner after the event. Can you imagine you can dine with Kenny Sia, Nicolekiss, Cheesie and those popular blogger? But we rejected his offer because it’s just too odd for “us” normal people to dine with them. Anyways, we’d already had our plans after that.

All the while when I was with them, I felt so frigging odd. If I were introduced to new friends, it’s really hard for me to open up to them unless I know them for a long time. I’m like so out of place. As so to say I need time to tune the channel and get the right frequency. =) Somehow my world is far and wide. Sad huh? Haha.

Ok, back to the exhibition. While I was walking alone in this area for public to view those bloggers website, this uncle came and talked to me.

“Hello! Nice to meet you. Have you have you heard of this newspaper? (I don’t know whatsoever newspaper he said) Which college are you from?”

“No. I’m currently waiting for my results.”

“I am (I forgot his name. You can’t blame me. It’s not like he’s some handsome prince charming). And you are?”
*offer his hand*

“Ugh, I’m Hui Yi.” *shakes hand*

He continued holding my hand and complimenting me. Asking me to join some photogenic competition and kept on yakking. Bugger. I was thinking, WTF!? When is this pervert Ah Pek going to let go of my hand and I was looking around for my friends to come and save me. They are not anywhere to be found. Shit man! I just pulled my hand off. He asked me for my e-mail and blog url. So I just simply gave him to shoo him away. He even tried to ask for my number. Wah lau eh. I just said no. Then my friends came finally. We faster leave that area. Pheww…

After that, we went outside to have a seat while waiting for Shaz. And this is what we do. Cam-whore baby!

At first Thomas wanted to watch a movie before dinner. But we’ve got curfew, so if we watch movie it’s gonna be late. Anyway my family called me for dinner. I asked Shan to join us for dinner. In the end, Shan asked Shaz to drop us at 1U.

Shan, me and my family went to dine at Soho.

Pffftt… We ordered ra men but their food is not that delicious. I guess their specialty is dim sum but dim sum for dinner is so weird. It’s kinda pricey too. So not worth it!

Decisions
I’ve stop working at the shopping mall but there’s no rest for me as so to said. Because now I’m helping my mom babysitting two kiddos. One is aged around 2 or 3 years old and the other is a few months old baby. Plus, this big baby of my family which is my younger brother. He’s going to be 11 years old but still very dependent on my mom. I just don’t understand why can’t he behave and think more like an 11 years old kid. Always so stubborn and doesn’t listen to our advise. Going around disturbing everyone. Irritating sial! Day and night there are naggings. During the day it’s my brother that causes my mom to scold him, whereas during night it’s my dad. Frigging bored with this condition. Noise here and there. Sigh. Almost every one of my family members is depending on my mom. Well if my mom’s not at home then it’s me that has to take up those responsibilities. Being a female in life it’s just so hard. Don’t you think so? There are so much of responsibilities we have to bear and those that have families have to balance between work and family. We have to multitask doing a lot of things.

As for me I have to decide which university and what course to enroll in. It’s so hard to decide because public uni barely offers the course that I wanted. I have to decide fast because I’ve read the newspaper yesterday that registration closes around early February. Decisions decisions decisions… My future depends on the decisions that I do now. Even if I’ve decided, that doesn’t mean that I’ll get what I want because it will also depends on the government whether they agree to offer the course. Bummer huh?

Although currently we already had internet connection but I can’t wait to get our own connection because we have to share or you can say fight for the connection with the other 2 renters in my house. In the afternoon it’s this dude, at night it’s the weirdo couple. Chi bai! I tell you. Don’t know what the f**k they download lo. So kiasu. Kept on downloading. 24-7 download kau kau only. Somehow trying to make their money worth the pay. When I want to online have to wait super long for the website to load. Bugger.

Recently, I cursed a lot. As you can see those foul languages are coming back to me. Do you know why?

Because I’m feeling tu lan with my life now!

Happy Birthday, Mummy Dearest!
8th January 2008

She’s another year older, in her late 40’s. She has gone through a lot in life. Working 24 hours without an off day. Taking care of us three siblings with different personalities. Being patience with our demands, complains and all sorts of characters. Her sacrifices are countless and priceless. Whatever she does is for the family. She’s irreplaceable.

Happy Birthday, Ma! I love you!

I wanted to buy a cake for my mom but I was too lazy to walk. So I decided to bake cupcakes for her.

Cupcakes baking in the oven.

I don’t dare to make a lot of it because she’s not that type of person who‘s fond of cakes. After 20 minutes, the cupcakes turns out with a little roasted at the bottom. But still can be eaten. And I put a lot of melted chocolate as the topping. Then there you have it. tadah!

Chocolate Topping Cupcakes =)

My mom only ate one. All the rest of it, me and my younger brother sapu. *grins*

Later during the night, we went to this place located at Kayu Ara called Pantai Seafood Restaurant for dinner. So I dressed up a bit and I wore a dress.

“Wah! This is the first time my daughter wore a dress,” dad said.
*sweat* -.-“

Curious why my dad said that? *shy shy* When I was very young that time I dress up kind of boyish. Most of the time my mom has to force me to wear a dress. Now big girl already ma. Know how to dress up. Although I still got the boyish side in me. =P

Anyhow when we were there, I realized that a lot of their patrons are also celebrating their birthday. This restaurant they serve fresh seafood where you can pick from the aquarium.

I spotted this huge Tiger Garoupa there.

The seafood that we ordered are one Australian lobster, eight minis African abalone, fresh seaweed and don’t know what fish. The lobster is serve sashimi style

The lobster head is still alive and moving. Kinda scary because it's watching you eating it.

The Birthday Woman! *lol*

The lobster was delicious but the abalone suck. Ugh! I didn’t take a picture of it because it tastes awful. I think because they didn’t braised it long enough in the gravy. Overall it was fine. Just that it was expensive! But boss paid. *grins* Yay!

Pack The Floor

Do you feel that recently your life has been a little mundane? Or your life is getting pretty hectic and stressful with all the work and assignment piling up because after all it’s a beginning of a New Year right? And if you did so many things in life but your conscience tells you that something is still missing in your life? No worries alright!

There is a charity event coming soon. It is a 24 hours dancing marathon organized by HELP University College. It’s called Pack The Floor For 24. You can do your part by participating in this event. If life is boring for you, you’ll just need music to spice things up. Plus, you can express yourself by grooving on the dance floor. There will be dances like Hip Hop, Ballroom, Line Dancing, Capoeira and etc. If you don’t know how to dance? No worries because there will be workshops where the performers will teach you how to dance the basic steps.

You can workout and sweat it all out by dancing. When you exercise, your body burns extra calories and releases endorphins hormones that will help de-stress. In a way it helps to relax your body. By the way, participation fee is RM35 or you can pay more. You’ll contribute to the society and do a good deed because this is a charity event so all proceeds will go to Malaysian Aids Council and other orphanages. The fee is inclusive of all meals for two days. There are even goodie bags up for grab.

Also, the hosts for this event will be 8TV Quickie TV host, Belinda Chee and special guest, Hannah Tan. There are many more celebrities coming, media and participants from different colleges and schools. This is a very good opportunity to expose yourself, as well as to expand your social network. There will be mini competition held so you might stand a chance to win prizes from Sony and have your picture printed on the papers too!

Date: 12th January 2008 (Sat) - 13th January 2008 (Sun)
Time: 7.00pm (Sat) - 7.00pm (Sun)

Late Late Late
Shit! I'm late. My monthly supposed to come never come wor. Die lor... Hehe.
What are you people thinking huh? I'm not talking about my period. And
I'm not pregnant. No boyfriend how to get pregnant you say. By the way,
abstinence is in my dictionary. Pfftt ... I'm so random. I just felt
that my updates are frigging late. Even period come once a month but my
blog updates are like not popping. Hehe. Bringing disappointment to my readers. Sigh. Such a lazy bum I am *grins*

Hatyai Trip (15th December 2007 - 18th December 2007)

Ok this update is on the trip that I've promised. At first, my dad promised to go Langkawi for our holiday. But then he's that last minute type so he called his friend who is working at Berjaya Resort to get us room. Come on la, it's so late do you think he can get us the accommodation? Definitely no way lo! His planning sucks.

Ughh... I'm looking forward to have a holiday at the beach. I love beaches. I've already pack all those clothes, accessories and I even went to bought myself tanning oil! I'm so prepared for the beach and so eager to get myself tanned. Mana tau when we're about to reach somewhere near the flyover to Langkawi, my dearest daddy quipped, "Oh my friend said he can't get us a room there. So we'll just go Hatyai."

I looked at my mom and was like wtf??! Predicted. Grrr... Potong steam -.- Bah... Never mind. Be positive. At least we got to go on a holiday right. So enjoy it while you can. I tell myself I shall pamper myself and shop till he drop. *grins*

City of Hatyai

Hatyai there’s nothing much different with K.L and it’s pretty small. It’s no shopping haven because the price if you convert it’s still the same. But some items there are slightly cheaper. I bought a few clothes for myself because I no need to pay. Dad’s the boss, so he pay. *smiles*

Food hawkers

The thing nice there is their food. Yes, food. One day I ate at least 4 meals okay. Not including snacks. There are a lot of local delicacies at the streets. Wherever you go, there is food everywhere. Mostly, it’s delicious. So tempting. *drools* I tried to control myself not to eat too much but I just can’t. My mom kept on buying food. She’s the one that tempt me. Argh! When I came back I think I’ve gained a little weight. Sadly, I didn’t took any pictures of their food. However, I did took a picture of this burger

Why I took this picture? It’s because this burger is non-halal. It’s McD’s pork burger! In Malaysia you can’t find it anywhere. We’re in an Islamic country, therefore pork in fast food chained restaurants is not allowed. So bare with it. I’ve got a taste of it. Ohh gosh, it’s so juicy and tender. I miss it. Their McD there are slightly different.

Sawadee Ka! This is how their McD mascot greets you.

Plastic cup. Not paper cup.

Choco Banana Pie

See what I meant?

Hatyai recently are labeled as unsafe because there are news of bombing there. So we must take precaution also. Overall it was ok because there are police officers patrolling and checking on your bags before you get into a shopping mall.

See the don’t-know-what-you-call-scanner he’s holding?

Night view of Hatyai streets.

Colourful Vespa!

Younger brother, Hui Yi and my mom. =)

Not to forget to pay a visit to the temple. It was actually raining while we’re on the way there. When we reached, the rain stopped. Our so called sincerity and faith in God makes the rain stopped. Haha. My parents are sincere enough to go there and pray.

Pagoda.

Buddha statues. Amithaba

After that, we’re on the way back to home. Rain and shine journey back home. It was raining heavily then it stopped. Then rained again, then comes out the sun. Unpredictable weather.

Lastly but not least, I’ve dyed my hair there for Rm 100++. I don’t know whether is it considered cheap. Don’t care. Boss paid.

It’s not that obvious though. Unless I’m standing outside under the sunlight. Still can see a little reddish brown huh?
